The design also needs sufficient outlet capacity, practical high and low points, stable hanger attachment and a discharge route that does not overload foundations, walkways or neighboring property. Worked planning example

A house has two 48 ft eaves. Each run slopes to a downspout at one end. At 24 in hanger spacing, each run needs about 25 hanger positions including ends, or 50 total before extras near outlets and corners. Capacity still must be checked against the roof area served.
