About BuildMeter
Who builds BuildMeter, how the calculators are developed, and what the estimates can and cannot be used for.
Built and maintained by Liron Elimeleh
BuildMeter is owned and developed by Liron Elimeleh through ELStudios / א.ל. שירותי תוכנה. Liron is a software engineer and solution architect with more than 15 years of professional development experience and over three decades working with computers and technology. More information about his software work is available at ELStudios.
Why BuildMeter exists
Home-project estimates are often scattered across formulas, product labels, supplier tables and unit conversions. BuildMeter brings practical calculations into one clear workflow and shows the assumptions behind each result. The goal is to help users prepare measurements, compare options and ask suppliers or professionals better questions before money or materials are committed.
How calculations are developed
Liron builds and tests the calculation logic, unit conversions, validation and interface behavior. Formulas are selected from established geometry, physics, product documentation and reputable public references. Purchasing quantities are rounded explicitly, and editable defaults are exposed rather than hidden. The methodology and editorial policy explain the review process in more detail.
Important limitation
BuildMeter calculators are planning tools. They are not engineering review, architectural approval, electrical design, permit approval, code interpretation, product certification or a substitute for a qualified professional. Product data sheets, manufacturers, suppliers, licensed professionals and local authorities remain the final sources for project-specific decisions.
Corrections are welcome
A useful calculator should be explainable and correctable. Report a possible formula, conversion, wording or accessibility issue through the corrections page. Important calculation changes are recorded in the public changelog.
