Methodology
Transparent calculation
BuildMeter converts every input to a consistent internal unit, applies the selected allowance, and rounds products up to whole purchasable units.
The room is rounded to a tile grid. Shared tile edges are counted, clips per edge are derived from the entered spacing, and the total is increased for breakage before rounding to full bags.
FAQ
Tile Leveling Clip Calculator questions
Are wedges included in the clip count?+
No. Many systems reuse wedges, so estimate them separately according to the installer’s workflow.
Why are perimeter edges excluded?+
Leveling clips are normally used between adjacent tiles; wall gaps usually use separate spacers.
Can leveling clips correct an uneven substrate?+
They help control adjacent tile alignment but do not replace proper substrate preparation.
