Calculation steps

No. It is used only for the preliminary trench depth. Hydraulic sizing requires design flow, slope, inlet conditions and product data.

Why is trench volume only preliminary?+

Actual excavation may include sloped sides, shoring, over-excavation, unsuitable soil removal, structures and different bedding zones.
