Floor, wall and sloped roof areas are divided by entered sheet coverage after allowance. Studs and joists use entered spacing with simple end and corner allowances.

Are doors and windows deducted?+
No. Their framing and cutting often offset part of the removed sheet area; detailed layouts should measure openings separately.
Does this include roof rafters?+
No. Roof framing depends on span, pitch, loads and selected roof system.
Can the stud count be used as a structural plan?+
No. Corners, openings, bracing, plates and load paths require a complete framing layout.
