Transparent calculation

BuildMeter converts every input to a consistent internal unit, applies the selected allowance, and rounds products up to whole purchasable units.

Effective runtime = scheduled hours × operating days × duty cycle. Electricity = pump input power × effective runtime. Annual cost adds the entered service allowance.

Why can variable-speed pumps cost less to run?+

Reducing speed can substantially reduce power draw, although the pump may run longer.

Does the calculator determine required filtration time?+

No. Runtime depends on system flow, pool volume, water quality and operating requirements.

Should heater and salt-system power be added?+

Yes, but calculate those loads separately because they have different schedules and power levels.
