Why does a pool cover matter?+
Evaporation is a major source of heat loss. A suitable cover can substantially reduce the input needed during warm-up and maintenance.
Should heater output or input power be entered?+
Enter the energy input represented by the selected efficiency model. For equipment rated by delivered output, use 100% and add only the separate heat-loss allowance.
Does this include ongoing temperature maintenance?+
No. It estimates one warm-up event. Maintenance cost depends on continuing environmental heat losses.
