Water still required
0% currently filled. Default preview: 14,306 gal.
Estimated fill time
9 gal/min. Default preview: 27.3 hours.
Utility water cost
entered water and sewer rate. Default preview: $125.25.
Fixed fee
delivery or setup allowance. Default preview: $0.00.
Startup allowance
splash, backwash and startup needs. Default preview: 3%.
Methodology
Transparent calculation
BuildMeter converts every input to a consistent internal unit, applies the selected allowance, and rounds products up to whole purchasable units.
Full volume = length × width × average depth × shape factor. Remaining water accounts for current fill level, then the fill allowance is added. Cost uses the entered utility rate plus any fixed fee.
FAQ
Pool Fill Cost Calculator questions
Why use a pool shape factor?+
Oval, kidney and freeform pools occupy less volume than the full surrounding rectangle. The factor lets you reduce rectangular volume.
Should sewer charges be included?+
Utility billing rules differ. Enter the combined effective rate that actually applies to the fill.
Is hose flow constant?+
Not always. Pressure, hose diameter and simultaneous household use can change the real fill rate.
