Methodology

Transparent calculation

BuildMeter converts every input to a consistent internal unit, applies the selected allowance, and rounds products up to whole purchasable units.

Courses and units per course come from wall dimensions plus joint width. Bed-joint and head-joint lengths are multiplied by joint width and depth. Waste is added, then mortar bags are rounded up from the entered yield.

No. It estimates bed and head joints only. Grout or core fill should be calculated separately.

Why can actual mortar use differ?+
