BuildMeter converts every input to a consistent internal unit, applies the selected allowance, and rounds products up to whole purchasable units.
Interior main runs and cross rows are derived from room dimensions and entered spacing. Total linear lengths receive the allowance, then each grid type is rounded up to its stock length.

Why are wall edges not counted as main tees?+
The perimeter is modeled separately as wall angle. Interior main tees begin one grid spacing away from the wall.
Does this include ceiling tiles?+
No. This tool estimates the suspension grid. Use the ceiling tile calculator for panels and package quantities.
Are hanger points a final installation specification?+
No. They are a planning count from the entered spacing. Manufacturer instructions and project requirements control actual hanger placement and bracing.
