Methodology

Transparent calculation

BuildMeter converts every input to a consistent internal unit, applies the selected allowance, and rounds products up to whole purchasable units.

Measured use = slab length × width × average depth + other entered volume. Yield percentage = measured use ÷ ordered volume × 100. Balance = ordered volume − measured use.

FAQ

Concrete Yield Calculator questions

Why can measured yield differ from the delivery ticket?+

Average thickness, subgrade depressions, form dimensions, spillage and measurement uncertainty can change the field estimate.

What should be entered as other volume?+

Include thickened edges, grade beams, pump priming, test samples or other concrete that is not represented by the main slab dimensions.

Does a yield above 100% always mean a supplier shortage?+

No. It first indicates that the measured use exceeds the order. Verify dimensions, average depth and all placement assumptions before drawing a conclusion.
