Calculation steps
- 1Measure the reinforced slab area by section.
- 2Reduce stock coverage for the specified side and end laps.
- 3Lay out whole sheets or roll widths across each section.
- 4Round upward and add spare material for cuts.
Worked numerical example
A 24 ft × 30 ft slab covers 720 ft². With 6 in laps and 5 ft × 10 ft sheets, the effective sheet coverage is smaller than 50 ft²; the layout requires 16 sheets before adding handling allowance.
